Sunday at Seven – Galatians 5:22 Love, Joy, Peace.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

As promised, we finally got to Galatians 5:22, the fruit of the Spirit. It was worth the wait! Thanks to Mari Lewis for her preparation beforehand, and then walking us through love, joy and peace.
There was a lot to think about, I wonder what one thing struck you? For me it was the reminder of who Jesus is. He is love, joy and peace in perfection, and we are in Him!!
As hard as I try, I am so aware of the times when I’m not loving, joyful or at peace. Yet the great encouragement that Mari brought to us is that we now live in the Spirit, it’s His power that enables this fruit to grow in us. Let’s pray for one another that we will ’keep in step with the Spirit’…
Tim Keller:
"The fruit of the Spirit is not merely the result of natural character traits
or willpower, but a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit".
Thank you too, Mari, for giving us some questions to chat through at our tables. It’s a real help in thinking through and applying what we’ve heard.
Click here for the pdf of those reflection questions if you’d like to take a little more time over them.
That’s it for our Sundays at Seven 2024-25, have a good Summer everyone!!
